From lush rainforests and golden beaches to late-night dance floors and unforgettable sisterhood, our all-women’s group trip to Costa Rica was the perfect blend of adrenaline, connection, and joy.

From the moment we touched down in San José, the energy was electric. A scenic drive through winding mountain roads and jungle views set the tone. We were ready for everything.

We stayed in a private villa in Quepos, just over an hour from San José Airport, tucked into the lush rainforest near Manuel Antonio. This was our tropical home base, complete with a pool, open-air dining, and jaw-dropping sunsets every evening.

Beach Days & Jungle Adventures

Jaco Beach quickly became our go-to hotspot. Whether we were soaking up the sun, sipping cocktails, or shopping for local treasures, this vibrant beach town had something for everyone. Lliving that Pura Vida dream.

Ziplining Over the Jungle.

One of the major highlights? Our ziplining tour with TitiTiti Tours. Imagine soaring through the treetops, Tarzan-style (but make it glam), flying above rivers and jungle with panoramic views stretching for miles. The laughter, the screams, the adrenaline, it was unforgettable. For me personally, it was the most exhilarating thing I’ve ever done. When the attendant gave me that first push, my life flashed before my eyes in the best possible way. Here I was, in Costa Rica, flying over a jungle. I’ve never felt more alive. And then I started to really look at the trees, the monkeys (yes, lots of them!), swinging through the canopy like it was their runway. Now listen, I love monkeys, but for a second, I thought, Please don’t let these monkeys get any bright ideas and join me on this ride! ?? They didn’t, of course. But I would do that zipline again and again just to relive that feeling of absolute freedom.

Horseback Riding to Waterfalls

Meanwhile, another group saddled up for a horseback trek through waterfalls. They rode along peaceful trails, through the rainforest, and cooled off under cascading falls, total nature therapy.

Flavors, Fun, and Dancing

Costa Rican food? Chef’s kiss. We feasted on grilled snapper, garlic shrimp, Ceviche, and tropical fruit that tasted like sunshine. Every meal was fresh, flavorful, and full of laughter. Whether it was a beach shack or a fine dining spot, the vibe was always warm and vibrant.

And yes, we danced. Hard. Costa Rica’s nightlife delivered: live music, DJs, beach clubs, and impromptu dance circles. We showed up and showed out, bonding on the dance floor like the queens we are.

That One Night with the Frogs

One night we got a little more than we bargained for. After a fabulous night out, we were floating on post-party vibes, crossing the little bridge back to our villa… when suddenly one of the ladies screamed, “FROGS!”. At first, we were like, huh? Frogs? But then we looked… and oh. my. goodness. There were hundreds of tiny frogs just sitting on the patio, staring at us like they were guarding the place. It was like a scene out of a nature horror movie, little glowing eyes, not hopping, just... watching. Of course, that’s when we all screamed and bolted back across the bridge, shrieking and laughing.Shoutout to the villa’s amazing security team who calmly handled it while we recovered from our National Geographic meets Blair Witch moment. I swear, I can still see those little frog eyes in my sleep!

The Heart of the Trip

Yes, we came for the beaches, the jungle, and the adventure, but what we really found was connection.Being surrounded by strong, fun-loving, open-hearted women… sharing stories, cheering each other on, and making memories we’ll carry forever, that was the real magic.Costa Rica welcomed us with open arms, and we left a little piece of ourselves behind in its jungles, beaches, and night skies.
